This will not use up a lot of water and considering the expense that you have to pay in electricity; this type of coolers will definitely save you a lot in your electric bills. These can also work like any regular fans if you will turn off the water spray. Again, keeping your windows open at night will also help these fans in cooling you down.
As an additional tip, you may want to keep the cool air circulating inside the house by using curtains and drapes. With this, you will keep give shade inside your house to promote a cooler environment that will help in making you comfortable.
